In our social leagues in 2023, Aris was a 3-time ladder champion, and Marc B was a 3-time playoff champion. In the competitive league category, Evan and George both won 3 ladder league championships apiece. George achieved the highest ladder rating in DCPL history, compiling an incredible 109-42 record in shootout matches against the toughest opponents that we could find. Congratulations to all of the year's winners!
Our "most active" player of the year honor in the social leagues goes to David R, who played 259 official recorded games in 2023. In the competitive leagues, the award goes to David E, who completed 273 games during 4 seasons of league play (Ben S had 272). And a special shout-out to those players who were with us from our humble beginnings and joined us playing in all 5 seasons this year: Angela, Belkie, Ben S, David R, Erika, Jared, Justin K, Karen G, Meaghan, Rhonda, Sam R, Siobhan, Susan and Suzanne.
